Stein Nominated As CEO for 27,000-Employee Vietnamese Firm, But Declines

jas plaque award ceremony at temple After three successive trips to Vietnam in 2013, Jonathan was nominated to be CEO of Mai Linh Group by its famous Chairman, Ho Huy. Jonathan has served as outside counsel on a number of financial and other matters for Mai Linh Group, the largest taxi service in Vietnam with 27,000 employees and 10,000 vehicles worth several hundred million US dollars.  Jonathan declined the honor, deciding to continue his well-established legal practice in Los Angeles.  “I profusely thank Mai Linh and Ho Huy, but my wife didn’t really bargain for a move to Ho Chi Minh City.  And I don’t think I can leave trial work just yet, winning means too much to me.”
