For the 2012 election cycle, four City Council positions were up for grabs. Jonathan worked with neighborhood activists to form Sunset Park Anti-Airport, Inc., a NFP corporation registered as an independent expenditure committee in California and as a 501(c)(4) civic league. SPAA organized a voting bloc which accounted for approximately 2,000 voters out of 10,000 which voted in November 2012.
